Snakeskin

Sheesh, it's been a very full week.  I'm so glad for the weekend, but it's also going to be full since I'm celebrating my 30th birthday...yes, a few weeks after the fact.  We're going to an indoor trampoline park(!!!!)  Think a warehouse of trampolines, a foam pit, and a trampoline dodgeball court.  Whaaaat?  And afterwards we're catering a taco truck from Tijuana because I could eat TJ tacos all day, errrday.

Anyway, clothes.  So I bought this top a couple of weeks ago and have worn this outfit maybe three times already.  I wouldn't have said that I was a fan of snakeskin (though maybe on bags and shoes), but when it's a lighter print on a flowy top I can dig it.  The one I bought is currently on sale for $20, and also comes in grey.  Maybe my perception of snakeskin is limited, but I was pleasantly surprised to find options like numbers two and six as they're different than what I typically think of snakeskin prints.

Snakeskin for you--yay or nay?  Would you try any of the ones below?

  1. I've been wanting to go to one of the trampoline parks! Can't wait to hear how you liked it. I love the flowiness of this top- the sheerness and the cut keep it from looking cliche, you know?1 I really like it :)

  5. I did the trampoline thing for my 25th last year, it was SO FUN. But everyone still teases me about my birthday workout :) You'll have a blast though, I'm sure. Food truck after is a great plan!

  10. I probably would have walked right past a top like that and never even noticed it. But after seeing how you've styled it, I would actually consider it. And I love that it's in a unusual shade for snakeskin. I've only seen it before in grey/black. Shades of tan fit my wardrobe much better.

I've never been a fan of snakeskin so I probably won't be trying that anytime soon. However, I think it goes very well with your outfit and it's subtle enough not to look crazy! Haha

I have that exact top! But I have maroon and a floral splatter print. Every time I go back to Kohl's, I want another one in a different color or print! I like to wear mine tucked into a pencil skirt too. You look super cute in it!

Trampoline parks sounds like fun. We had my son's birthday party at a gymnastics gym which is kind of similar and we had a blast. Very cute top!

  16. I love this whole outfit. I like subtle snakeskin - I've seen some really obnoxious python prints, and this is a nice breath of fresh air. A totally wearable and cute outfit. That shirt would look great with a pencil skirt too.

  17. Love the outfit, with and without the jacket. Without the jacket it looks like you're going to brunch at a downtown cafe with girlfriends on a Saturday morning. :-)

  18. Is it Big Air? We have one very close by. My 3-year-old is obsessed with that place. He asks to go every.single.day. It's a fun place. Enjoy your birthday!

I have a gray leather jacket and I've been looking for a print to go with it. I bought the silver colored version of the first shirt at Kohls. I can't wait to wear it out!
