I think it's safe to say that your comments on last Thursday's post had my jaw on the floor as you told me that you wore boots and tights year round no matter how cold it was! Even though you said you aren't outside much when it's cold I was still shocked. Except now I'm realizing that you also probably use heaters, like smart people. See, people here for some reason refuse to turn on heaters. Or maybe that's just my family. We are Chinese, and if you know any Chinese people you should know that we are cheap and would rather suck it up and lose a frozen toe than pay for heat. Anyway, heaters or not, I'm majorly impressed with you guys!
Annnnnd, I also feel kind of bad posting this outfit after hearing about all of your weather. I know right now some of your jaws on the floor at the sight of my sandals. It was like 75 degrees this weekend! Forgive me for rubbing it in with these happy brights and exposed toes. I had this outfit sitting in my Go Chic or Go Home ensembles for a long time and was excited that the perfect day came to wear it! I've always loved yellow and turquoise together, but in the last year I've also grown a love for green and yellow. Would you ever wear green and yellow together?

I also wear tights year round, with flats or heels (haven't ever figured out to wear boots). It's not toooo bad here, since it's the mid-Atlantic/ Northern South... but just yesterday I was HOPING it would be the last time to see temps in the teens. Today looks promising since we're going to break 50. SUPER jealous of your bare toes!!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could wear those sandals right now! I love this color combo Audrey, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge fan of tights, but I have to wear them during cold months, only with skirts though. Otherwise I'd freeze and it looks somewhat silly having bare legs with snow in background (not that I haven't done it in the past).
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous of your warm weather. I'm SO ready for it. Cute look though :)
Um yes, I adore this color combo!!! And it's making me crave spring even more!
ReplyDeleteI love this look and think these bright colors are great! One it's not like 2 degrees here I'll definitely be wearing an outfit like this. As for temps, my husband is not Chinese, he's just cheap, so it gets pretty chilly in our house too. :)

I love these two colors together! It looks so springy with the white. Trying to figure out if I have anything in my closet similar to this :)
ReplyDeleteWhere is you necklace from? Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the color combo-so fresh! But I hope you wore this yesterday, not today. Much colder today in SoCal.
ReplyDeleteJust came across your blog and am looking forward to getting better acquainted with it! So cute!

Well being Jamaican, black, yellow and green are the colors of my flag so naturally, I'm always in green and yellow or green, yellow and red to represent the Rastafarian aspect of my culture.
ReplyDeleteI love your necklace! As someone who's really pale and doesn't usually feel comfortable wearing any sort of yellow, I feel like I could actually pull it off with a turquoise like that. Thanks for the inspiration! Unfortunately, I can't wear an outright green with yellow here in MN because those are Green Bay colors. The rivalry continues.
ReplyDeleteha! I'm sitting in front of a space heater as I read your article. I love this outfit.
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been ah-mazing here too!!! I think winter has def exited the building in my parts! bring on the sandals, dresses and tanned skin! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous of your warm weekend! It's still 40 and miserable here. Spring can't get here quickly enough!

Love your outfit. Mother Nature is a bit moody in my neck of the woods (south Alabama) so we're currently having a cold snap. This is the first time all 'winter' I've worn sweaters.
ReplyDeleteI have a skirt that same shade of yellow and I rarely wear it because I never know what to put on top, but I have a turquoise v-neck that will duplicate your great color pair-up! Just the inspiration I needed. With a grain of salt, can we count this count as 2/3 of a triad? (Can you tell how much I'm loving Academichic which you introduced me to? THANKS!)
ReplyDeleteI love pairing unexpected color combinations! This one works great together - and I live in the south but still feel cold looking at your uncovered toes!!! :) The Blue Hour
ReplyDeleteI love this combo- you look so fresh and summery! And I'm not going to begrudge you your bare toes... not today at least! ;)
ReplyDeletei am definitely jealous of your warm weather. but your springy outfit has me optimistic that it will be here soon for us, too!
ReplyDeleteThese colors look amazing together. And i am jealous of your warm weather! Our weather has been so unpredictable lately!
ReplyDeleteLove these two colors together and especially on you! Work it girl! Work that good weather too! We're FREEZING over here! :)
ReplyDeleteDEM TOES. There was a day when we had 70something degree weather a few weeks back, and you better believe my pasty feet were in a pair of sandals. No shame. Obviously there is now some snow on the ground (as you saw!) but it was still in the 50s today. Whatever. And yes I would wear green and yellow together! That's a great colour combo.
ReplyDeleteUGH, jealous! It's so cold here in Minnesota! I have those same sandals and am dying to wear them again...I'll just gaze longingly at this post in the mean time, haha!
ReplyDeleteLove how bright & cheery this outfit is. I would totally rock this outfit! Be ready for the rain...it's coming tomorrow.

I'm wearing green and yellow together right now! Olive & Mustard to be precise. I love (and pinned) this outfit of yours.
ReplyDeleteOf course I would wear green and yellow together! Though to me, in your outfit I'm seeing more of a teal/blue and yellow, not green. I don't know if it's my eyes, or my definition of green, but whatever. I'm a redhead, so I have tons of green in my wardrobe, and used to shy away from yellow. But green and yellow together was one way I started to introduce yellow into my wardrobe. I was given a yellow sweater that I thought looked weird on me, but when I matched it with an emerald green scarf (therefore putting the green as a buffer between my face and the yellow color), a new fave color combination was born. I love it!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I don't think my pictures capture either of the colors well here. Both the top and the cardigan are very bright, like almost slightly neon! And this cardigan always photographs more teal than green, but it's like an electric green. Anyway, I used to shy away from yellow too thinking it'd look weird with my yellow undertones. It's amazing how combining colors or placing things like a scarf in another color close to your face can remedy that!
ReplyDeleteThis outfit screams springtime!! I just love it!!! new follower, glad I stumbled across your blog from the hop!

You are ready for Spring and with the weather we've been having, it feels like Spring is here. Although it did rain yesterday so I guess it'll be winter for a little while longer. Love your outfit!
