I don't know why, but I really love a denim shirt with black jeans. This is the third time I've worn something like this on the blog (first time here, more recent here), but I don't think I'll let it retire in real life. I love the clean simplicity of it. Someone on Go Chic or Go Home commented that it reminded them of Merrick, which of course I took as a huge compliment.
Anyway, I spent the weekend at a baby shower, dinner and ice cream where we were pleasantly serenaded by Aquile from The Voice Season 3, finally watching Pitch Perfect, and catching up on the earlier episodes of The Mindy Project. Ice cream and hilarious TV are always time well spent in my book. How was your weekend, peeps?
This is one of my favorite outfits these days too. Simply done. I love my top so much, I may go to Old Navy and get another color. P.S. Your shoes compliment it well.

Not gonna lie, I totally wore my denim shirt and black jeans like three times last week. You look fabulous friend! :) And I think you already know where I stand on sweets and hilarious tv ;) Our weekend was low key and great; Including a superbowl party with friends and lots of good food.

Pitch Perfect was sooo much better than I expected! Now, when I want to work out at home, I pull up the soundtrack on Spotify. It's right at 30 minutes long, so I know I should be cooling down during the final song. Love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I must say, I am REALLY not a fan of animal prints (I don't know why but they just rub me the wrong way), but I'm still kind of digging your shoes. And I especially like that the print is subtle in this outfit, because it's 1) on a shoe and therefore not as obvious as a whole shirt or dress and 2) paired with a very simple outfit. You might eventually convert me to subtle animal print touches.

Chambray and black jeans are my favorite, too! I especially love the look with leopard pumps (that I sadly do not own, and seriously contemplated when I saw them in the 70% off section at Target but realized that I do not need).
