WEEKEND! I'm more excited than normal about weekends because 1) I actually get to be home instead of being on an airplane and 2) I'm on a sabbatical for the next few months from leading worship at church, which means I have about 11+ hours freed up on my weekends. Whaaaat? Yes. Yes yes yes. Time to go wild.
With my new free weekends I'm taking care of house projects that have been nagging me for years. YEARS. Like that enormous blank wall above our bed that I've been meaning to find artwork for. Or buying fabric like this and finally reorganizing my jewelry storage. I know, it's a glamorous life I live. If weekends at Ikea and fabric stores doesn't say "living it up," I don't know what does.

LOVE that scarf! And hooray for newfound freedom (I'm jealous... A sabbatical from doing worship would free me up on Sundays too!) And Ikea's totally my idea of a party :)
ReplyDeleteyay so happy it's Friday too! love that scarf on you too! xo

Enjoy your weekend! Love your sis's crafty ways! I think your weekend sounds just a notch more fun than mine - taking the kid to the dentist, gymnastics, kid's birthday party and kid's bball game. Well, I am officially a chauffeur on the weekend.

I so need to try wearing my chambray shirt this way. Congrats on your newly acquired free time :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your newly found free time... it sounds like you are going to accomplish so much!
ReplyDeleteHi Audrey, Love checking in with your blog although I rarely comment. This outfit is so cute! I love doing house projects and trips to IKEA too. In fact, just made a stop there last week and was so inspired by so many things. Have you ever checked out fabric.com? Look there and save the time sorting through fabric stores. They have everything!!!! And their prices are hard to beat plus free shipping if you spend $35. I sound like a commercial. Ha! I bought lots of chevron fabric there when I did my son's nursery last summer. So many options to choose from. Have fun and enjoy your time off!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I'm actually really curious, but where is your bag from? I have a similar-ish one from H&M that's on its last legs - er, straps? - and I'm in love with yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you, Meghan! I actually just checked out fabric.com last week, but they didn't have all the fabric in stock that I wanted. I ended up ordering from babybedding.com and found a coupon through Facebook. I agree though, I definitely prefer fabric shopping online rather than fabric stores. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteThe bag was actually a gift from my sister and it didn't come with any tags so I have no idea where it's from. Sorry! Good luck with your search for a replacement!
