Green and yellow together? Who am I? What has this blog done to me? Yet another outfit I wouldn't have worn prior to this style blog. I always appreciate those kinds of outfits, even if I think they look like crap and wonder how I ever liked them four months later. Hit or miss, they're still signs of growth and pushing yourself beyond your norm.
The self-imposed rule in my head that would have prevented me from wearing these colors together was that you weren't supposed to wear colors that were next to each other on the color spectrum lest you look like part of the rainbow. But I guess I've overcome that nonsense, or maybe I'm just more okay with rainbows. Either way, this outfit was worn and I loved it!

I have found myself wondering what has gotten into me? I'm wearing colors and combinations I never would have and it's exactly like what you said, hit or miss, its a sign of growth. This is why I started blogging and it makes me excited!

It's a cute combo. I am the same way since starting a fashion blog. Today my post is pairing coral & turquoise together which I don't think I would've done in the past.

ReplyDeleteHa! I'm the same way about the color spectrum. Or I was (I've gotten better, too). But I still won't wear red and orange together.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this outfit is great, and further convinces me I should invest in some colored shorts.
Super cute necklace :)

This is exactly why I asked the favor of your that I did. (: For me, though, that color combination is off limits because it's the colors of one of the two big college football teams here. And I would get Ducks references no matter where I went.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love rainbows?!?! You should dress like one every day.

Ooh, great color combination. I guess I've been subconsciously nervous about colors next to each other on the spectrum too - but now will have to try the green shorts I have in this shade with something yellow on top!
ReplyDeleteVery cute together! For me those yellow shorts are almost like a neutral, you know? You could wear them with tons of colors (I think)!
ReplyDeleteNice outfit,that necklace is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if you would like to follow each other:)http://glossylala.blogspot.co.uk/
I love green and yellow when I see it on other people but I can't bring myself to wear it. Green and gold/yellow were my high schools color so if I wear them I feel to spirited. lol. You looke great :)

ReplyDeleteI think this color combo looks great on your skin tone. I love the pastel look of the yellow. I have a tendency to over do it with mustard. This is a nice cool and pretty yellow!
ReplyDeleteThese colors go very well together and I love the necklace :)
ReplyDeleteLove the color combination! :D
