Oh, man. I've been so busy on my trip to Madison that I haven't had time to post outfits from last week! I wore this last Friday to my husband's company's picnic at a nearby park. The weather was perfection for us to play frisbee and cornhole (aka "bags" for us, since we aren't mature enough to not giggle at "cornhole").
On another note, as I've talked about all my traveling, some of you have asked for another packing post of sorts. Is that still something that would be interesting to you guys? What would you like to see? ie. How I pack my suitcase? What items I packed for this trip to Madison and all the outfits I created? My mentality for choosing pieces to pack? etc. Let me know if anything like that would be helpful for you!

to see what items you packed and all the outfits you created would be a really cool post!!! :) Oh and adorable outfit for the event!

Yes please! Especially for business trips - those are always extra tough for me!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see a traveling post on how to pack and organize outfits for a trip without bringing your entire closet. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a 2 week vacation in a few months and would love to see what you come up with for remixing items for a trip.

Haha, welllll, since my work is very casual, I wouldn't do one for business trips--sorry!
ReplyDeletedefinitely call it bags too! love your top! perfect summer outfit!
ReplyDeletePacking is always rough for me. So of course I want to see posts on that!
ReplyDeleteThe blue gingham shirt and those colorful shorts are so cute together! (Love the bright, happy colors!) I always love seeing packing posts, I'm one of those people who way over packs! ^_^
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see a packing post!

Yes! I am the worst about packing. I always pack WAY TOO much or forget essential things. I would love (and PIN) a post like that!
ReplyDeleteOMG I suck at packing, Audrey! I often take too much and it's usually a frantic event with some sort of embarrassing meltdown where I'm crying about the fact that I have no clothes while my hubby stares at me like I'm an alien that has five heads. I think the problem is that I usually don't give myself enough time to pack and that my laundry often isn't done beforehand. I'd love to hear any tips you could share. :)
ReplyDeleteYes please! I'm heading on an 8 day trip to Melbourne in 4 months, and I hope to be able to pack light and pack a great remixable suitcase :) Would be great to read some tips :)
ReplyDeleteGingham really does scream "Picnic time!" Great look, and I love Madison, so I hope you had fun!
ReplyDeleteAs someone who lives in Madison, I'd love to not only see how you packed to come here, but also how you pack in general. I'll be traveling this summer to a place where I'd like to not dress like a slob. I'd love to have your model to follow!
ReplyDeleteI giggle at "cornhole". Always. & you look very, very cute in this outfit!
ReplyDeletevery cute blouse and shorts!! :)
ReplyDeleteI L.O.V.E. this outfit! I think really need to get a gingham shirt!

I love your blog! Instead of working, I have been reading all your posts. :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you learn what colors look good with each other? I never, ever woul'dve thought to pair those colors together. I personally would find a post about matching priceless.
Thanks Debi! Though...we should not tell your supervisor what you've been up to. ;) It's been in the back of my mind to write a post on choosing colors, but I've just had a bunch of other posts I wanted to write too. Since I don't know when I'd get around to it, really the first thing that helped me was follow style blogs to expand my conceptions of what colors should/could go with what. Hopefully someday in the future I'll have a more thorough answer than that for you with a post!
ReplyDeletehaha, Audrey. It's okay. I'm self-employed, so I'm really only hurting my bottom line =)
ReplyDeleteMaybe instead of a whole post, how about just a one liner or two in your outfit descriptions about why you picked those colors. Just a thought ;)
P.S. I've taken to your blog so much because I'm a Christian too and I love that you right upfront say that one of your loves is God. I think that's awesome! Plus, I love choc ice cream and Target as well...lol
Keep up the good work!
Ha, okay! I do explain in posts fairly often about why I picked certain colors, so I can definitely continue to do that. :)
