For this first one, I wanna tell you about a clothing company called Shade Clothing. I discovered them from Elaine from Clothed Much and kind of became enamored. The two main things I love about them are: 1) Free shipping & free returns! HELLO, awesome. 2) Huge selection of cheap basics!
I bought this shirt for $6 and love it! It's really thick and not see-through, which I greatly appreciate. Contemplating getting olive and/or grey too.
And then, if you follow me on Pinterest you might notice some striped blazers. I've been pining for one but couldn't pull the trigger on the $78 (Piperlime) or $98 (Express) options. But Shade Clothing has a striped blazer for $33!!!! I almost stopped breathing when I saw it.
It's a pretty close match, and for less than half the price (and 1/3 the price of the Express blazer), I'll take it!
I wanted this one to work out because Elaine from Clothed Much swears by it, but it was kind of strangling me. It's so cute, though, so at $15 with free shipping and free returns it's worth a try!
shop - $15
Mint colored tee and tank! I know a lot of you are looking for mint tees, and Target's is hard to find these days. YOU ARE IN LUCK. I think Shade Clothing's are great options.
Anyway, Shade Clothing is great for basics, has really great prices, and still has a few interesting things, like that striped blazer! I <3.
Happy shopping!
NOTE: While I do write sponsored posts sometimes and have affiliate links, this post was not sponsored and does not contain affiliate links for Shade Clothing. This post was out of pure love for the shop and the clothes!

Such a great post!

Just came across your blog the other day. I love that your outfits are REALLY affordable (not "Ohh! I found this top at the bargain basement price of $175!!!") and practical, not a bunch of weird pieces mish-mashed together so you look like a bozo.
ReplyDeleteI love stripes. For some reason I tend to purchase striped tees and sweaters a lot. Why don't I have a striped blazer?? Those are pretty cute.
What a fun new series! Love Shade.
ReplyDeleteOH! Me too on the striped blazer - definitely going to check theirs out...
ReplyDeleteI always love finding new places with inexpensive staples...thanks Audrey!

I've been a Shade fan for years, I wear tops from them at least 3 days a week. I loved their maternity line during my pregnancies. Everything holds up so well, truly the best I've tried of the "layering" brands. I own 2 of those rolled-edge slub tees and went looking for more this morning...we're both out of luck as they appear sold out. :(
ReplyDeleteNICE!!! I will have to check out Shade Clothing. I love your pins!!!
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Shade....thanks for the intro! :)
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem with the striped boat neck shirt- it was doing something weird at my neck. I hope you will write an outfit post and review of the striped blazer!
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh sad!!! I should have kept my mouth shut until I ordered more for myself hahaha
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the striped blazer so far, but I haven't worn it in an actual outfit or out of the house yet. It's a thick jersey material, like one of those sweatshirt blazer things but the thick kind. I think that makes it really comfy and also makes it fit well on me. I need to play around with some outfits before I make my final decision about keeping it though.
ReplyDeleteOh no! You made me want to shop again!

Have you considered the Stripe Slub Jersey Dress? It's very similar in styling to that boat neck top, but the neck doesn't look quite as high. You could get outfit ideas from Merrick's 8 Pieces, 14 Outfits post :)http://www.shadeclothing.com/shop/dept_item.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524445997417&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374306257222&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=1408474395917465&bmUID=1340476141624
ReplyDeleteThank you for the link! I've never heard of this store and I will definitely check it out.
ReplyDeleteLove these items! You have a great blog! x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the great post! I'm new to Shade - have you found the sizing to be accurate? I always fluctuate between XS and S, and I dont want to order the wrong size! Thank you - love your blog,
ReplyDeleteHey Nic!
ReplyDeleteI usually wear Small, sometimes Medium, and once in a while XS. I ordered Smalls from Shade and they fit me well, sometimes with a little extra room but still totally fine to wear. The nice thing about Shade is that it's free returns and shipping so I wasn't scared to order two sizes knowing I could send the other back for free.
I like the blazer. Its not that cheap work wear its at normal price. But looks wise is good. SO I can think to buy this.
