Wheeeeee, coral shorts! I think they're my new best friend.
Having lived in San Diego for the last 11 years, I've grown accustomed to thinking that 70 degrees is too cold to wear shorts. I blame it on the constant ocean breeze, but really, "ocean breeze" is secret code for "I'm weaksauce." That said, I get a little unreasonably excited when I can wear these shorts, hence me dragging them along to every single trip I get to go on where heat prevails. Obsessed much? Absolutely.
But one way I get around it in "cold" 70 degree San Diego weather is to pair these babies with a lightweight sweater. Boom bam, problem solved.

I've discovered the same problem in Houston. Except I consider 75-80 "cool". My husband just tells me "DON'T BE A WEENIE!" and that seems to help. I really do adore your coral shorts and have been slowly adding to my collection of lightweight sweaters... I smell a copy-cat this weekend.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit! I think 70 degrees is too cold for shorts too. With it getting to 115 degrees during the summer, I save my shorts and tanks for 85 degree and above weather. But love pairing shorts with sweaters in 70 degree weather.

Haha, the temperature is definitely relative! I'll wear shorts with a long sleeved top if it's 65 out here in Jersey. :)

Eh, 70 is a little chilly for shorts, but I'm a southern girl, shorts are for the days when it's really hot (like 106). But with a sweater and flats it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove the whole outfit - the touch of turquoise the nude flats and bag. The entire thing is just perfect and you look amazing in it. ;)

Ditto! I had no idea how much I'd like/use them but I fall in love with them more each time I recognize that they are the perfect shoe to finish off my outfit.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I'm originally from El Centro so I think 70 is too cold for shorts, too! I'm in La Mesa now which is usually warm, but if I know I'm going to make my way west to SD, I leave the shorts at home. :)
