Tees and Skirts

Top: Forever 21  |  Jacket: Forever 21 (shop similar: 1, 2, 3)  |  Skirt: JCPenny via Buffalo Exchange (shop similar: 12)
 Wedges: Kohl's (shop)

I have quite a few graphic tees sitting in my closet from a long time ago, and I haven't known how to incorporate them into my current style.  I have loved how Kristina J. wears graphic tees with her skirts, so I took a cue from Kendi and Kristina and put one of my tees to good use.  I love the idea of pairing them with skirts.  To me, it's a perfect mix of casual and chic!

And, just so that I can be a broken record, if my eyes hadn't been opened to tucking or knotting shirts, this look wouldn't have worked.   See the difference:

I'm excited to have even more outfit possibilities!

  4. Very cute Audrey! I may try that look as well.
Can I ask a question about the shoes? I'm looking at ordering them and am wondering about the sizing. Did you find them to be true to size, or maybe a little loose or tight fitting? I can't find any reviews on the site as to fit. Thanks!

  8. How exactly do you knot your shirts?? Every time I attempted that (in the 90s when it was a trend, lol) I ended up stretching out that part of my shirt permanently and having no choice but to leave it knotted. I'd love to see a step by step photo tut on how you manage to knot yours tight enough that it stays but loose enough that it doesn't stretch out the fabric.

  20. They are true to size for me.  I'm normally an 8.5 or 9 in Target shoes, 9 in Old Navy shoes, and the 8.5 in these wedges fit me perfectly.  The strap in the back is adjustable with 3(?) holes to extend it or tighten it.  I wear mine on the tightest hole, but I suppose if I needed more support I could punch an extra hole in it.  Let me know if you have more questions!

  35. That looks sooooo cool!!! :D I would just be worried if I did that to my shirts that they would be eternally stretched out in the corner :p any way you can keep them from doing that?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Hey Rachel! My shirts usually go back to normal after a wash. Sometimes if my shirts have enough stretch they go back to normal 10 minutes after un-knotting it.
