Miracle of Miracles

Top: Forever 21  |  Skirt: Forever 21 (shop similar)  |  Denim Jacket: Forever 21 (shop similar #1, shop similar #2, shop similar #3)  |  Wedges: Kohl's (shop)

I combined three of my favorite recent (re)discoveries in this outfit: graphic tees, knotting tees over a skirt, and black and white.  Four, if you count my denim jacket.

I'm delighted to say that after nearly a year of starting this blog I've found myself increasingly feeling like I have an abundance of clothes.  I mean, I already knew that, but often times it didn't feel like it.  You know, like this:

This month I've returned a lot of things because I simply didn't feel like they needed to be in my closet.  When I've looked into my closet this month, the possibilities have seemed endless.  Maybe not all of them are "style-blog worthy" (whatever that means), but they are still good and interesting.

And, for probably the first time in a long time, I'm way, way, way under my shopping budget.  Miracle of miracles, people!  This calls for a celebration.  Perhaps a trip to the mall?  ;)

BTW, remember to enter to win $50 to Lisa Leonard!

  1. Wow! I can't wait to reach this point. I am still using clothes and shopping as a reward, a salve for bad times and disappointments. I find myself competing, not with other bloggers but with myself. this summer will be a real challenge!

  2. Cute, cute, and cute. And how great to be in that place with your closet & shopping budget. It's so nice to feel that way and just enjoy your wardrobe (and feel like you have lots of outfit options!) - the decision making about what to add to my wardrobe, comparing my outfits with others', wanting more, etc. can be so exhausting. The trick for me is to learn to stay satisfied!

  3. I have been feeling the same way!  I bought a blazer and I didn't absolutely love it so I returned it.  I bought a skirt and it didn't fit perfectly so I returned it.  And I too came way in under budget!  It's kind of a good feeling isn't it?

  4. Such a cute look!
I need to shop my own closet a bit more. I've gotten rid of a ton of stuff which makes me fell less guilty when I buy something new. :)

After seeing you style a couple of tees with the knot, I am going to have to give it a try. :)

  15. Sometimes I think a new season brings entirely new possibilities out of my closet--like a perfect refresh, right when I need it.  So glad you're feeling happy in your clothes!

This outfit is a PERFECT play on multiple 80s trends, and yet totally current.  I love it!
