Ohmigoshhhh. This week, I'm trying to tell myself to breathe. And eating a lot of chocolate ice cream. Between preparing for 3 back-to-back trips over the span of 2 weeks and preparing material for a three-day long training that I'm in charge of teaching at, this week I will be relying on chocolate ice cream as my sweet escape to maintain my sanity. Chocolate ice cream never fails me.
If I'm quiet on commenting on your blogs this month, it'll be due to all the traveling. Two of my trips are in the mountains and one trip is to a retreat site in Texas! Yup, you heard me. I'll be at a remote retreat site a little outside of Austin (I think) for a whole week!
Any weather/wardrobe tips you've got for me for my upcoming trip to Texas?

I live in Texas and it is HOT! It's already up in the 90's. Dress for warm, humid weather!
ReplyDeleteThis. Exactly.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to you and your chocolate ice cream. Love that skirt! (I keep looking to you for ways to style that Old Navy top.)

Skirts and dresses are the way to go in hot humid weather. In the summer I usually carry around a light scarf with me if I know I will be indoors b/c I get chilly with all the air conditioning.
ReplyDeleteLove the skirt!
ReplyDeleteNever underestimate the power of how hot Texas is. It won't be as humid in the Austin area as it is where I am (Houston area), but it will still be humid. Thin shirts are some of my favorite ways to beat the heat!
ReplyDeleteYou are busy! I understand how you are feeling. I love those wedges- so cute!
ReplyDeleteYes, HEAT! It's completely humid in southeast Texas where I am but should be more arid where you're going. I live in dresses and skirts in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI've been quiet on my blog for far less-deserving reasons. It sounds like your life is going to be a whirlwind of awesomeness soon!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, this week needs to come to an end! Love this outfit though, safe travels!!

ReplyDeleteI love the mix of blues!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty warm in Texas most of the time already... but the weather also changes very quickly and rather frequently. I would recommend layers.
ReplyDeletehey lady, hope I didn't miss your Texas stay ---- ahhhh, you are so close!! Hope you backed shorts and breathable shirts. We have been experiencing mild temps (thank goodness) but they won't last forever. I live in shorts & skirts & dresses pretty much all year ...
ReplyDeletei love that top on you audrey and the color too. i own the purple now and now you just gave me the idea of putting a cami underneath it!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty outfit Audrey! Love the color of that blouse...and the pattern of that skirt is so cute :)
