It's true. B, my brother, and our good friend all skipped work earlier this week to go to Disneyland. That's just the kind of silliness that ensues when you live in Southern California and when your brother and good friend have season passes. And it was awesome. My favorite part: Our friend fake-screaming uncontrollably during the entirety of Space Mountain--in a fake German accent. I laughed so hard that I cried.
I did not wear this outfit to Disneyland, but I did wear it 4 times last weekend. I wish I'd worn it to Disneyland, though. The extra 4 inches on these wedges would have made it much easier to watch World of Color at Disneyland while standing behind the man with the hat who couldn't stand still. It was magical nonetheless.
If you could skip work and venture off somewhere for a day, where would you go?

I love that top! And the necklace was a great touch :-)

Love that necklace!
ReplyDeleteSkipping work to go to Disneyland sounds pretty awesome right about now....
Man, I want to blow off work to hit up Disneyland - that sounds super fun! And I love the outfit - I'm a sucker for great basics and a statement necklace.

Very cute! I think I'd sleep in, go pick berries, have a picnic, walk around our city, and eat an early dinner at a fancy restaurant. Because I'm a grandma, apparently.
ReplyDeleteThat statement necklace is so pretty! Sounds like such a fun day in Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteI've skipped work before to go to Long Beach Island (it's an island off the Jersey shore) for the day :)

playing hooky is awesome LOL I love the part when your friend screamed w/a German accent.. Might have to try that one day when I'm on a rollercoaster. This outfit is def something I would wear also...stripes w/ brown accent...and comfy.

If I could play hooky right now, I would go to the beach, bask in the sun and read my new Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood book. That would be wonderful. Of course living close enough to Disney to visit regularly would be pretty darn awesome too! Love this casual chic outfit!
ReplyDeleteThat's the best reason to play hooky! I went to Disneyland for the second time last winter; I thought I could take the Matterhorn again (not Space Mountain. I knew I wasn't up to Space Mountain), but I still ended up all shaky afterward.
ReplyDeleteAnd the outfit does look like it could be very comfy for a day out at Disneyland!
if I lived anywhere near anything Disney I would play hooky for that for sure!!!! Most days I play hooky though it's mainly to shop or go to the beach :-) LOVE that necklace!!

love the outfit audrey!! it looks so cute on you. hope you had a great birthday!! and enjoyed yourself at disneyland
ReplyDeleteGalveston is only an hour from us--a day trip to the beach would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable, as always. And those Khols wedges. You wearing them all the time doesn't help me trying to resist buying them.
Away from the house & kids, I would head to the busy city to shop, and enjoy a leisurely lunch while people-watching. Your outfit looks smart & casual and I'll probably copy-cat it with my similar gear!
ReplyDeleteI'm back-reading your blog from the start and I'm in awe of 11 hours shopping with Hannah. My record is 6 hours (school hours from drop-off to pick-up!). Plus, I'm an organisational freak - how did I not know about packing cubes?
I shopped yesterday and my mantra was "stay focussed". I bought my 1st pair of black knee-high boots with 2 knee skirts (coloured brown, & ruby) for Winter (getting colder here in Australia), and a scarf. I'm a sucker for scarves but it was buy 1 get 1 free. My daughter scored the other one.
I'm only up to your August posts, and can I say I'm just enjoying the way you present your blog - so clear and easy-to-understand.
Thanks again!
Louise.
i was just eyeing this top on the jcrew factory site!! the necklace is perfect and compliments the simplicity of the whole look, very chic!

I'm in LOVE with your top and that bag is sooooo cute!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these bold stripes, especially with the necklace. And I love that you skipped out to go to Disneyland. My destination of choice would be the beach, but Disneyland wouldn't be bad :)
ReplyDeleteI'd go to The Mint! And I'd probably wear a very similar outfit to yours :)
