When the UK brand Very contacted me to review their shop, I happily obliged. 1) Because I wanted to represent the UK readers for once! 2) I loved so many pieces in their store!
They have a bazillion products to choose from. Colorful, unique, and fun! When I first went to Very's site, I went straight to the dresses because hello, what fun is spring without fun dresses? And I might have a dress addiction. I'm especially excited about all of the colorful maxi dresses they have. I only fell in love with them last summer and have just a solid navy one to show for it. I love how maxi dresses always make a statement, and I'm hoping to add one more statement maker to my wardrobe, like one of these:

Will you be wearing a maxi dress this spring?
This post was sponsored, but all content and opinions were sincerely my own.

I had a couple last spring and have donated them away... I have a hard time with the lengths - the two I had shrunk after washing and the new shorter length felt awkward. What length do you like - ankles? dusting the ground?
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'll try again with something a little higher quality- something I can't wash and/ or shrink!
Had the same problem with one last year that I bought @ new york & co. Actually took the bottom hem out & it looks good again. Now I'm careful to dry on low heat only. Of course not all dresses would work w/ the hem taken out but this one looks cute!
DeleteThese dresses are beautiful; I will definitely be rocking a maxi dress this summer. :) Quick question: Where did you get the green army vest you feature in your "Putting Her Together" segment? I'm in love with it and must have one!

I'm still trying to find one for short people... I'm loving them maxis more and more though and would totally wear those floral print ones. Great with a denim jacket and wedge sandals!
ReplyDeleteHa, "them maxis". Meant to use one word or the other, not both...
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley! Old Navy, last summer. Sometimes they have them at Gap, Banana, and J.Crew, too.
ReplyDeleteUgh, I HATE when dresses shrink! Or when any clothes shrink, for that matter. That's a bummer. I like ankle length because I don't like the thinking about what kinds of gross things I might dust off the ground otherwise. But, I'm a little germaphobic haha.
ReplyDeleteEh, I like them on other people. I'm only 5'3 so maxis don't work for my height. I find dresses below my knee in general swallow me up. :/
ReplyDeleteNope. I'm with Mary at 5'3", so it's rare for me to don a skirt longer than knee-length.
ReplyDeleteI love maxi dresses! And that second one is gorgeous! It reminds me of sherbet ice cream!
ReplyDeleteMaxi dresses are amazing! I've wanted one for such a long time, but as a tall girl, I could never find one long enough...until a few weeks ago :)
ReplyDeleteI may have to buy another now though. The ones your featuring are SO CUTE.

I have become a big fan of yours. I just spent hours looking through your blog and enjoying it. You have a knack for styling for the everyday gal. I have 2 maxi dresses and 1 maxi skirt that I love wearing. Because I am short (5'2"), I buy primarily in the petite depts of stores. I find that the length of the dresses and skirts is perfect most of the time.
ReplyDeletei loveeee that second dress!! maxis are my favorite!!
ReplyDeleteThank You! I will be on the lookout! :)
ReplyDeleteI love maxi dresses and can't wait to see more in the stores. I love the ones you picked out!
