Dress: Target | Jacket: Forever 21 (shop) | Scarf: Old Navy (shop) | Boots: Dolce Vita via Macy's (gift)
Today was full of bad choices. Bad choice #1: believing my phone's weather app again (re: yesterday's post). I guess "63 and raining" to my app is really code for "78 with clear skies." Well, hooray! I ditched the boots for some wedges, and all was fine...at least, until bad choice #2: I went to Target. I went to pick up cleaning supplies, but all of you know it's impossible to go to Target without perusing the clothing section. And all of you also know that it's impossible to peruse the clothing section without buying every new item there.
Just so I'm not alone in my bad decisions, I will entice you by telling you that they have some dang cute shorts, dresses, and skirts there right now. So many new things in pretty colors! I bought 5 items, but I'm hoping I can talk myself out of keeping a couple of them. For what it's worth, my birthday is tomorrow so heyyyyy, present for myself? :D

Yeah, I better just stay away from Target then! My wallet can't afford anymore spending. lol You look cute! I love your bright dress!
ReplyDeleteI really love this outfit and want to copy it immediately! Thanks for the Target info--when my husband gives me "the look," I can blame it on you. :)

Keep them. Happy Birthday to you!
ReplyDeleteTarget has some magnetic force field when it comes to their clothes. I go in for bananas and papertowels and end up with shoes and whatever else I can find, lol!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday tomorrow - you look adorable today!
Ha! I can't leave target without a few items either :)
ReplyDeleteAnd happy birthday tomorrow!
I think you deserve to spoil yourself for your birthday :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, my husband was so happy when we moved out of the city just because I wasn't going crazy at Target anymore! Keep it all- it's your birthday! Happy Bday!
ReplyDeleteHappy early bday! And I'm guilty of the same Target behavior - you are not alone. :)
ReplyDeleteOK, I think I will celebrate your birthday tomorrow by going to Target. Cool? :D
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday! The colors, the scarf and boots! Fabulous. Do you have any pics with the wedges?
ReplyDeleteCute outfit. I'm glad I'm not the only one with that same "Target" problem. :)
ReplyDeleteYou absolutely need to get yourself some birthday gifts! Live it up and Happy Birthday!!!!!
ReplyDelete1st: Happy Birthday! and 2nd: I totally know how tempting Target can be, I have often gone in for toothpaste or some other necessary item and come out with entire outfits!
ReplyDeleteHappy Early Birthday!! And, Target gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME!! They have the cutest stuff right now...on every aisle on every rack! ;) It's such a love/hate relationship.
ReplyDeletexo,
Shanna
Yep, I fell victim to Target last night. Gets me every time.
ReplyDeleteLove the jacket with the dress. And I am absolutely unable to go to Target without walking through the clothes (and shoes) section, so I think that means I better skip going to Target at all this week :)
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Happy early birthday! i need to make it out to Target- they have spring dresses and cardigans on sale for $18- not that I need any more of either! I love this outfit! The bright blue with the brown leather is a great color combo and I bet it looked equally awesome with wedges (from Kohl's?)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an awesome birthday!
Happy Birthday sweet friend!!! My littles is on Friday, he will be 3, love thsi outfit with wedges or boots and I know exactly what you mean about Target!! some times I have to ban myself from there completely ...
ReplyDeletetarget is so hard to go to without buying any clothes/accessories!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO!!!
ReplyDeleteI've gotten to a point where I'm so cheap frugal that Target feels too expensive for me. But I have the same problem with getting distracted from tasks at hand to browse... hehe. The weather has been bipolar here, too. The rain and cold is trying to come back for its third encore now.
ReplyDeleteThis zigzag scarf is the cat's miaow! Love the colours.

You look fabulous! Even if you had to change shoes, wedges sound like great. By the way, I am loving the scarf - a fab "pop" of color! Love it! And it was great to meet you back in February at the SoCal Blogger meet up.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this outfit ... when I saw the title post "Bad Choices" I was like, uh, no, this is an amazing choice! Haha! Don't worry, I am TOTALLY the same way with Target. I was just there myself and couldn't talk myself out of a scarf. But at least it was on sale? I always justify by thinking that a shopping spree at Target is better than one at, say, Jimmy Choo or Marc Jacobs. Right? :)
ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!
I LOVE bad choices....I think I need to make some this weekend...maybe at Target :) That color looks fabulous on you, and what a pretty scarf!

I think you absolutely deserved that dress, birthday girl! The color looks amazing on you. I now avoid Target at all costs because I know I'll drop $50 even if I only needed toilet paper. :)

I can rarely go into Target and leave with only what's in my list! That place is crazy fun!! I love, love, love your cute outfit today...that scarf looks amazing with the skirt...fab look!
ReplyDeleteYou are too cute for me to believe that you made any bad choices! Love the whole look. And I did just pick my new favorite skirt up from Target last weekend - jersey knit black and white strips! adorbs... could. not. resist.

target is dangerous!!!!!! haha!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute look! Love your jacket! I'm totally with you girl! Everytime I go to target I have to make a detour to the clothes and shoes.. I can't help myself! lol

Oh Target. It's a dangerous one, it is. But YAY for birthdays!!! I say keep all the Target loot and don't you dare clean a thing today. :)
ReplyDeleteFunny that you mention the weather app tricking you. I actually checked mine yesterday to make sure it was set for my city, lol. Right now it says it is 80 degrees with a thunderstorm going on....it's more like 70 with crystal clear skies. What's wrong with it lately? lol
ReplyDeleteThis jacket is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI went into Target the other day for a couple things and walked out with $70 worth of stuff and only two things off my list. Whoops! I feel your pain.
Love that scarf! I feel you on the whole Target clothing thing... Happy early Birthday!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute dress! Is this one of the recent Target purchases? I'm tempted to go by today and look around ;). Have a happy birthday weekend!!

Nope, sorry. This dress is a few years old, but there are a lot of similar options on Target's website right now!
ReplyDeleteAH! you make me want to go to target! I love that dress! I know I hate the weather app on my phone! Do you use accuweather? It has happened to me a few times now!
