Rosettes No. 2

Striped tee: Target  |  Denim jacket: Forever 21  |  Skirt: thrifted  |  Wedges: Target
Rosette necklace: c/o Seek First (shop)

You guys are awesome about all the skirt comments from Friday.  I totally forgot that 60% of my skirts are from a consignment / thrift store, like this one! (Also worn here.) My friend found it, and it was so pretty that I was jealously hoping it wouldn't fit her.  (Same friend that thrifted my denim skirt.)  It didn't, and before she could blink I swooped in for the kill.  Muahahaha.

And yes, it's this necklace again!  And no, I'm not just wearing it because of the giveaway.  I promise.  I'm really digging it.  I'd written off rosettes because I typically saw them on "cutesy," sweet looking girls or hip/trendy girls with cool colored hair...and neither of those felt like me.  But I'm finding that I can make this work too, and it turned out to be the perfect accessory for this outfit.  I've had the striped tee + grey pleated skirt combo in mind for a while, but the rosette necklace added just the right touch to give this outfit some personality.  I love this thing!

  4. What a great find that skirt was!  I found a similar one at a thrift store in fuchsia and I absolutely love it. How long ago did you get the wedges at Target? I've been looking for something similar.

  5. I love the soft gray, especially with the contrast of the baby pink rosette. And yeah, I know what you mean about them in general.

  8. I am loving that skirt! I thrifted this weekend at the good 'ole salvation army and came home with two amazing tweed blazers and a cute top for a grand total of $10. I need to keep my eyes open for a pleated skirt like this!

  17. The necklace is really great on you. It totally seems to fit your style. Also I am loving this pleated skirt. I have so many in my closet but I have a hard time figuring out what to wear with them.

  18. Cute!  I love the juxtaposition of the denim and the chiffon.

Does that tee have unusual sleeves made from several strips of fabric?  If so, I have the same shirt :)

  22. So here's something weird on the wireless device / Disqus front.  I had assumed that when I comment with my iPod that only I (and Audrey as the blog admin) can see my comments.  However, when I view comments to this post on my iPod there is one from Thetinyheart which doesn't appear online.  So, did she comment via a wireless device and it shows up on my wireless device?  WEIRD!

I wore my new olive cargos today.  My 6 year old son said, "Nice outfit Mom, those are cool pants".  How cute is that?

  23. To the wireless device stuff, I think the answer is yes.  If it's written with a wireless device then anyone viewing on a wireless device can see it because the wireless devices use the Blogger interface instead of Disqus to display comments.  Since the comments through WDs bypass Disqus, I guess it makes sense that anyone could still see them through WDs reading through the Blogger interface.

And, so cute about your son!!
