Top: Old Navy (shop) | Red skinnies: Buffalo Exchange | Belt: Kohl's | Gold flats: Target
If you follow me on Twitter, you might have seen me drooling all over Merrick for this awesome top she wore a few weeks ago. I try to avoid acting on impulse while shopping, but once I saw this shirt I knew it'd be a good buy. I'm loving these little dots!
On another note, thanks for your empathetic comments about the rat situation! I'm happy to announce that WE CAUGHT THAT LITTLE SUCKER!

You are too cute. I love that top. I hope it's still around when I can shop again (after Lent).
ReplyDeleteHave you washed the top yet? I did, but didn't dry it, and it still shrunk! I'm so annoyed. I think I might call old navy and see if they'll let me exchange it for a bigger size.
ReplyDeleteYou are so cute and I just love our blog!! I just wanted to know how tall are you?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dawn! I'm 5'6" but I think I look a lot shorter in these pictures because some people have thought I was petite sized! haha
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is perfection. And congrats on the rat situation being over!
ReplyDeletelove these color combinations! :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this outfit! It's just classic. Love it! xoxo A-

There are few things in life more satisfying than catching a stupid rat. I had one in my room, too, last year. My boyfriend named it and everything (he's brave and unafraid of mice). But after placing a moat of traps everywhere in my room and kitchen, we finally caught him. I almost threw a party, haha!
ReplyDeleteThis shirt is so cute! So great for colored bottoms cuz of the subtle color in the dots. I also really like your gold flats! I'm on a metallic/gold kick right now! Love this outfit!
Love this top! Old Navy has been very Anthopologie-esque lately. (Only, you know, at prices I can afford..haha.)
ReplyDeleteThe shirt is so cute, love it with the red jeans. Glad your rat situation is taken care of.
ReplyDeletegreat outfit! love the red pants!

ReplyDeleteI saw this top recently too and loved it as well. Polka dots always win for me though. SO GLAD you caught the rat! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteLove this top. Just found your blog , I'm a stay at home mom who hasn't bought anything new in 3 years. I am trying to pull together a flexable wardrobe for this summer and I'm wondering does this top meet your criteria for a mix and match wardrobe? Can't decided if I want this to be one of my 6 shirts. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWow, 6 shirts! That's feels like a lot of pressure to make sure it's THE RIGHT shirt haha. I'd say it depends on the rest of your wardrobe. Do you have multiple different colored bottoms--pants, skirts, or shorts--that could go with it? For me, it'd be a yes because I could wear it with black/blue/red/burgundy jeans, olive cargo pants, my yellow/green/red/coral skirts/grey pleated/grey skirts, and I have a pair of brown shorts and grey shorts that would match as well. The nice thing about this top is that navy is a neutral color so it goes with almost everything, but the print is interesting enough so that you don't have to accessorize a lot with it. However, if you wanted to accessorize a lot, the print of this top might make that slightly more difficult.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! :)
That top is gorgeous. Another reason for me to love Old Navy these days. Too bad I am about 4000 miles away from one. =( These red jeans and that cute dot top look great with cognac/bronze so that belt & those flats pair so well, here. =)
