Pretty outfit!
ReplyDeleteI recently pinned some grown up birthday party ideas. Its under my parties board. Lots of great ideas in there...maybe check it out and see of there is something fun for you guys to do (if you're planning to do a party, that is).
I love those!! Such great ideas!
DeleteThat blazer is beautiful on you, and I love it paired with the animal print. How long ago did you get those shoes? I've been on the hunt for some affordable cap toe shoes. :) Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHi Audrey,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled upon your blog via Pinterest and I'm hooked. Your creative reinterpretations and combinations have inspired me to look at my closet in a whole new way. I am pulling together new outfits from old items like a champ.
You're cute styles have encouraged me to add a few new key pieces too. I picked up a wide sunflower yellow belt ($6 at some cheap shop in Miami) and am experimenting with it in ways I never have (over cardigans, dresses and billowy tees). I got some lovely cognac slouchy boots ($60 Piperlime). Today I'm even wearing a skirt, despite that it's 40ยบ in Boston. My new red legging jeans and green ankle jeans are making my boring over-worn gray tee look sharp and intentional. Toss on my grandmother's green and white polka dot scarf and it's 'completed.'
Next mission: looking for cute colored skirts at Goodwill and Buffalo Exchange. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the great work. You're adorable and you've got a devoted reader here.
Cheers! Aisha
What a difference the scarf makes.
ReplyDeleteI love that red blazer!! :) 29th BDay.... hmmm...drinks and dinner is always a classic but fun! My boyfriend and I also like to go to sporting events together for our birthdays!

Yeah I love this blazer.
ReplyDeleteAlso I know it's pretty trendy lately but you should definitely have some fro-yo on your birthday. Let hubs take you to one of those overpriced places with all the cool toppings!
Also, I'm feeling shopping spree! You should buy yourself 29 new things ;)
Love the blazer and scarf together! Late March is a great time for birthdays. (Mine was on Monday.) Enjoy your trip!

Always a fan of leopard and red! And as far as birthdays go...I too just turned 29, and frankly, after 25 I kind of stopped getting into the birthday celebrations. I always celebrate with a great dinner/dessert and a few drinkys though!
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, the big 2-9. I had a bigger party for 29 than I did for 30 or any other year, for that matter (since childhood). Wasn't planned and just kinda happened because my birthday is within days of our wedding anniversary. My 29th year of life and our 1 year of marriage coincided so we had a mini-celebration with a few friends and family. Definitely treat yourself to sumpin' nice. Maybe a new bauble to mark the end of your 20's. YAY! I've always seen age as meaning, you're one year closer to wisdom. ;-)
ReplyDeletehappy birthday!! mine is tomorrow and there are really no plans. i would sleep all day if i could. and perhaps get a new book!
ReplyDeleteCelebrate the 9th annual 21st birthday party in style! Hehe. It's time to ring in the end of the 20s.
ReplyDeleteHey Aisha! Thanks so much for taking the time to say hello. So cool to hear about how you're finding new ways to wear your clothes! Good luck on the skirt hunt!!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the pop of color with the blazer! Great, vibrant color against the casual backdrop. I love the shoes, too! I'm gonna have to go check out the store. Hehe. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Amber!!
ReplyDeleteI *just* got those shoes, and this post was my first time wearing them. The sad thing is that they're already sold out online, which is why I couldn't link them. :(
ReplyDeleteIt's so cute + I love the scarf.
ReplyDeleteI'll be turning 29 soon too, I can't believe it! I love this outfit--the pieces are all so classic, but fun at the same time. I'm totally convinced I need a red blazer. Well "need" in the same way I "need" more pairs of shoes...oh well!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to let you know I love your blog! Just what I need to help put my own wardrobe together. Great job!
