Dress: Target | Blazer: thrifted | Tights: We Love Colors | Brown Pumps & Belt: Target
This weekend I tackled a lot of the things on my to-do list that I've been looking at and saying I'll do "later." And by "later," I really mean, "when the little elves magically appear and do it for me." But, I did them, and it felt so dang good. Sorry, elves. On top of clearing out most of my to-do list, this weekend we hiked the highest point in San Diego, enjoyed a few meals with great friends, and tried this chocolate chip cookie recipe which is resulting in us breaking records for number of cookies eaten in one sitting. The only way to get me to stop is to brush my teeth. I love that trick.
And I did none of that in this outfit, which is from Friday. I'm proud to have found another use for this tweed jacket because I wouldn't want to have to give up my first thrifting find ever--and such a great one. Don't ask me how I managed to wear dresses for years without ever having worn one with a blazer, but I'm glad I finally learned that trick too. Blazers + dresses = fantastic.
Happy Monday, friends!

Ahhhh! I just thrifted the same dress!!! I'm wearing it in tomorrow's post! I LOVE how you styled it!

Oh LOVE. Absolutely perfect styling, especially with the wine tights! Blazers over dresses is such a great tip, especially for adding a bit of professional polish. It's a favorite trick of mine for conferences - I'll present in the blazer/dress during the day, then remove the blazer and add different jewelry for going out to dinner with colleagues. This version is just awesome!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and blazer. I finally bought a blazer this weekend and am excited to wear it this week!
ReplyDeleteOhh I just LOVE the colors in this outfit Audrey - so cute :)

Can't wait to see it, Mandy! I found it on clearance at Target in the summer--$6.50!! I didn't realize how much I'd wear it, but it's so fun because I've been able to style it so many ways! (the outfits are somewhere buried in this label)
ReplyDeleteYes!! Blazer/dress during the day, then change it up easily for going out afterwards. I only wish I got to work in a corporate setting where I could/needed to do that haha.
ReplyDeleteKatie, I LOVE blazers, so I'm ecstatic that you bought one!
ReplyDeleteCan't believe most of your things were from Target! I like how you styled it.

ReplyDeleteYeah!! I got it for under $7 on clearance too haha. Amazing! It's been surprisingly versatile (see other outfits with this dress). It's so fun to mix up. I'd love to see ways you've worn it!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute Audrey! Love that look. :)
ReplyDeleteOnce I get my blog up and running (tips very welcome! ) I'll be sure to include this dress... it's such an easy-going piece! I usually pair it with a thick brown-braided belt. And last time, I wore it with a caramel button-down I got from our friend Old Navy...that was a fun change. My blazer is up next, thanks to you! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this. Audrey wine colored tights with military green is one of my current fave color combinations. The blazer lends your dress a different kind of look from the usual cardi!
ReplyDeletei love this audrey, army green & maroon colors are great together. and i love the added blazer too, i might have to remember that to get some added wear out of the blazers i have that for some reason i only think of as outerwear!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Outfit. Very Fall-ish. =)
