I'm 4 for 4 in outfits with stripes. This is another one of the simple outfits from the 75-80 degree weather last week, hence the bare arms. When I think of simple outfits done well, I think of Linda from Little Tin Soldier, and I like to think I was channeling her in this outfit. Clean lines without a lot of embellishment or fuss, making it pop with some color.
This top is new, and I liked it so much that I was willing to pay the full $30 for it--more than I tend to pay for most garments. I've taken to stripes over the last half a year, after being enlightened to how versatile they are. Before, I thought striped shirts were plain, boring, and a waste of money, but maybe it's because *I* was boring and lacked the imagination to utilize a striped shirt in all of its glory. Oooh, yeah. Just got a little deep there. I kid. But really, it's kinda true.

I love this outfit! The striped shirt looks perfect with your shoes.
ReplyDeleteYay stripes! As you know, I'm a pretty big fan. And when they're worn with orange and turquoise? Can't get any better.
ReplyDeleteI was about to tell you that you've been rockin' a lot of stripes, but it turns out that you already knew that, haha. I like the simplicity and I wish I could wear only one layer without dying.
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes! And I am a lil' jealous of your warm weather there, girly. :) It's a whopping 10 degrees where I'm at...brrrr
ReplyDeleteGreat top! It feels so gorgeously nautical.

I've said this before, but I really really mean it this time...FAVORITE outfit! Honestly, I would have paid full price for that adorable shirt too. The shoes, to die! :)
ReplyDeleteAhahahaha ohhh Audrey. I just ordered those shoes yesterday. This is getting ridiculous now.
ReplyDeletePUahaha. WELL, naturally. It's fate, Jess. Anyway, I think you've had all our other common items before I did, but I've had these babies since April! Too bad I don't have all of your fun skirts to pair with these pumps.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I'm tardy to the party with these shoes (is there any blogger who doesn't own them but me at this point???) but I've been waiting a long time. I hope they fit--all the online reviews said to size down and I'm a 9 3/4 (womp womp) and 10 wasn't available, so I really really hope the 9 fits!
ReplyDeleteOh, we can fix that. TO THE EBAY.
I saw your photo show up in my reader and I thought, I want that shirt! Then I started reading your post and saw that you mentioned me. You are too sweet. You know I love stripes, and the pop of red from your heels is great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. I am following you now. I hope you will follow me as well. I LOVE your shoes. I wish they still had them in my size online. Maybe I will grab the yellow ones! Great blog, love your style!!
