I almost gave up on these jeans, but style blogs saved them. I always wore them uncuffed, and they were my go-to casual jeans until an amazing pair of skinny jeans entered the picture. Soon enough it was bye-bye for these jeans. Then I noticed bloggers rolling jeans similar to these for a kind of "boyfriend jean" type look, and whaddya know? These jeans were revived, just like that. It's amazing how rolling your pants a little here and there can open up more possibilities.
I love wearing them rolled now, casually with flats or mixing casual and fancy with heels and a statement necklace. Wearing a typically casual type of jean with heels is something I never think to do, but I keep pinning those looks (1, 2, 3) so I'm trying to remind myself to do in hopes that it becomes natural to me. This outfit is different for me, but it's fun to break outside my norm! (That's part of the reason I started this blog anyway, isn't it?)

They look SO cute! Love your necklace (and the change of scenery)!

I never quite understood what cut was best for a rolled boyfriend jean, soI haven't tried it yet. I definitely plan to this spring! Yours look great!

I have two pairs of jeans that I wear cuffed all the time because for some reason they shrunk and became shorter. Never could figure out what to do and then I got the idea to cuff them. Now I wear them permanently cuffed.

I found your blog after I realized I pinned a couple of your outfits on pinterest...when I saw this post, I realized I wore those same shoes today, but had to go a little dressier for work: http://www.fancypants514.blogspot.com/! I love the look you put together in this post and can't wait to pair them with similar jeans when the weather gets warm enough for exposed ankles again in Ohio. :)
ReplyDeleteCute look, Audrey! BTW, your jacket looks JUST like one from Express, but you probably saved a bundle by finding that cute twinsie at F21. You should be proud. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your style so much! It is both casual and sharp all at the same time! It looks like everything was put together effortlessly yet perfectly!

ReplyDeleteThank you, Elisabeth! I AM proud, now that you've pointed out the Express jacket. I was soooo glad to find this jacket at Forever 21. I'd been looking for a jacket exactly like this for a couple of months.
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. You could wait for warm weather in Ohio, or you could come over to San Diego! :)
ReplyDeleteJust keep rolling until it looks good! Experiment with different widths of the roll too.
ReplyDeleteI just bought those same shoes, but in black! I loved the nude ones, but I already have a pair of nude heels so I passed them up.
ReplyDeleteLove that necklace, btw.
