Dressing Like a 14 Year Old

Top: Target (shop)  |  Grandpa Sweater: Old Navy (shop)  |  Black Skinnies: Forever 21
Boots: Dolce Vita via Macy's  |  Bag: Old Navy

Not much to say today...except that I'm 99% sure Alex Dunphy wore this top on a recent episode of Modern Family.  I don't know whether to be proud or ashamed to be wearing the same shirt as a 14 year old.  Okay, not really.  I don't really care because no matter what, I love this shirt.  I was actually more amused that wardrobe stylists for Modern Family shopped at Target.  Can you blame them, though?  Of course not, because Target is adult Disneyland, so why wouldn't you make every excuse to go there?

  1. Haha - well Alex dresses pretty cute too - so even if it is the same shirt, who cares? Love this look - so comfy but so stylish :)

  2. I love it!  One time I wore a dress to school and one of my third graders said she has the same one.  I realized I should no longer shop at Aeropostale.  : )

  4. Cracks me up when I discover where an item is from!  It's a lovely plaid, though, so I understand.

I love this plaid top! didn't know target had such a good selection right now.  I know what you mean about dressing to young, I like francesas collection and when I get "Back to School" emails i am like "
Ruh-roh". BUT you look adorable! Deff does not look like a shirt a 14 year old would be wearing on you!

  9. I wish I dressed as well as Alex Dunphy when I was 14. Man, there are some embarrassing pictures from that point in my life. This year for Thanksgiving I tried to be thankful for Target but my mom made me change it to something else. SO NOT FAIR. You look awesome so Alex Dunphy should be honoured to dress like you.

  10. I love it when TV characters wear clothes from places they would actually shop. (Instead of designer items made to LOOK like they aren't designer). Since she is a 14-year-old on TV I think you are safe dressing like her. Someone gets paid good money to pick out her outfits. ;)

  13. That's not how a 14-yr old would wear it, and that's good enough haha. I'd wear all the clothes from Target if I had one nearby! The juniors section can be useful when utilized correctly.

  15. So so so cuuuuute, 14 year old or not. I can't get over how VERSATILE that sweater is. Sp cozy and I love the beige-gray (graige?!) color too. Love the plaid button-down. You have the cutest plaid Button-Downs. I also adore that tiny little Olive Green Purse.
