Dress: Target (shop) | Cardigan: H&M | Yellow belt: Target | Shoes: Gap Outlet
Hello, Monday! I'm coming at you today with a spring dress in full force, complete with bright colors all around. (I was even going to wear my orange UO pumps but decided to save that for another day.) You see, in style blog land, it's winter, but in reality for me it's been 75-80 degrees for a week. Last Friday I decided to stop pretending it was fall and embraced the warmth with this outfit.
I did a look for cooler weather with this dress, too, for all of you who are yearning for spring but have a ways to go before it arrives.
Cardigan & Belt: Target | Grey tights: Old Navy | Boots: Dolce Vita via Macy's
I love dresses with tights and boots! And it's such an easy way to make a springy dress wearable before spring hits. With the warm weather down here, I haven't gotten to wear this combo as much as I would have liked to.
I love that this dress has so many colors to pull from and use in accessories and cardigans/jackets. It gives it an endless amount of remixing possibilities!

This a very cute dress! It looks great both ways!

I exposed my VERY pale legs to the sun this past weekend. I'm loving the warmer weather :)
ReplyDeleteI won't be seeing 70/80 degree weather for another 5-6 months! You're super lucky. :) I like both looks.

Thanks, Audrey for including a winter look for us folks in cold climates. ;) The aqua cardigan look really brightens my day.
ReplyDeleteI am so Jealous of you right now. You know whats its suppose to do today in NE today? SNOW. EW.
ReplyDeleteI love both looks! Makes me want to go get this dress! :)
Love dresses like this. I try to shop for stuff that I can incorporate year round...being from Texas it's either scorching hot or spring-like...we don't get much of a Winter! :) You look precious. I am doing a Stila giveaway on my blog. You should check it out!

These two looks are great. I love the way you pulled the different colors out with the bright cardigans. The dress is perfect on you.
ReplyDeleteAlright we wore the same shoes one day last week and now I'm pretty sure I'm wearing the same yellow belt as you today. I blame it on our shared love of Target! :)
ReplyDeletei love the fall/winter look with the boots! it's hard to wrap my head around anyone still bare legged out there so what a fun idea to wear it two ways for those of us in chilly climates to relate to!
ReplyDeleteVery cute as always, Audrey! :) And thanks for posting the winter option.... it's going to be a bit before this Minnesota girl can don flats without tights. But you enjoy that warm weather of yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat bright cardigan! Now I'm wishing for spring to come!
ReplyDeleteLove your double look! LOVE IT.
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I've been loving remixing my spring dresses this winter. I'm not quite ready for spring because I'm not ready to give up my boots. But ask me again in a month and I'm sure I'll have a different story.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE boots. That's why I've been so reluctant to embrace the warm weather. I haven't gotten to wear my boots nearly enough!
ReplyDeleteI like both looks. You are so good and taking a piece and doing a whole new thing. I tried to emulate one of your outfits this week for WWIW. :) Don't worry, I gave you credit! :)
ReplyDeleteReally cute - both ways.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I seriously need to look through my closet and try some new things. All you need is some inspiration and a little creativity! (Oh, and to not care what people in small-town Alabama think about your crazy fashion choices!) Thank you for all of the comments on my blog! They made my day! I can't wait to see more and be further inspired!
ReplyDeleteThat dress is SO fabulous! Love the print!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! LOVE this outfit! Love the color green and the yellow belt! Met you at the So Cal Blogger Meetup! -Jessica
ReplyDeleteI discovered your blog through Already Pretty. It's on my feed, now :D
ReplyDeleteI love your advices, they seem to be just the right ones for me !
Have a nice day !
You have the cutest Target Dresses - I can't say that enough. This one is pretty and colorful. With each cardigan you brought out different shades of green from the dress. You totally turned the dress from winter into Spring just by changing your legs/feet and the color of your cardi.
ReplyDeleteJust like you I wear a lot of dresses with tights and boots, during cold months. My OOTD today actually is such. http://elegancepersonification.blogspot.com/2012/04/gray-simplicity-with-hint-of-red.html
Take Care.
do you ever wear boots with dresses without the leggings? or is that against the rules? i clearly have no fashion sense. just wondering..
ReplyDeleteYes, it's fine to do! I've done it here and here: http://www.puttingmetogether.com/2012/01/love-potion.html & http://www.puttingmetogether.com/2011/12/on-board.html
ReplyDeletethank you :)
