I cannot wait for the weekend because some friends and I are having a Christmas clothing swap! If you've never heard of a swap party, basically everyone brings clothes they no longer want that are still in good condition (and preferably somewhat in style) and you trade clothes. Free clothes!
I've only done one before, which I hosted at my house over a year ago. Since I've been blogging and redoing my closet for the last 5 months, I have tons of unwanted clothes to swap. I've been saving them all for "the day I might go to another swap party," and this will finally end my husband's perpetual questioning of when the piles of clothing will be gone.
Anyone have tips or fun stories to share from any clothing swaps you've been part of?

I LOVE a skirt with pockets!!! This one is great!
ReplyDeleteClothing swaps are awesome! It's like shopping for free :) Love the color pallette of your outfit too.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Please blog about what you swap for :) I used to swap with girlfriends but I always wound up with no clothes b/c my clothes looked better on them :( Nowadays I have more self-confidence and mostly only swap with my sister. I recently got several sweaters off of her (yay, free wardrobe upgrade!)
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit - what a lovely color combination with the pale pink and green :) Have fun at the clothing swap!!
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to have a clothing swap, but I don't have friends that would own clothing I want AND I don't have the sway to make one happen in this area for bloggers, haha.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE clothing swaps! Not enough friends around here to do it well, but it's such a great idea. The best clothing swap I went to basically auctioned off the items, so it wasn't all first come first serve. They held up each item and then the 2-3 people that were interested tried it on and decided from there.
ReplyDeleteps. love your outfit today! Those ankle boots are so cute.
The only clothing swap I do is when I clean out my closet and my sister goes through it. But I would love to go to one where I can actually come back with something!
ReplyDeleteI totally want to host a swap party soon! So I would love to hear how yours goes :)
ReplyDeleteWELL...we might need to organize a San Diego blogger swap someday. :)
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is one of my favorites. you look gorgeous! I haven't ever done a swap, but it sounds like a ton of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely outfit, you are gorgeous my dear!
ReplyDeleteWould love it if you visit my blog when you have time ;)
That sounds like so much fun! Although I'd probably be to shy to join in on something like that in real life, which will mean I'll live vicariously through you, so make sure you blog about it! I can't wait to see what you swap.
ReplyDeleteI really like the combination of green and pink.
ReplyDeleteCute outfit :)
and I think a clothing swap is a great idea. Have fun :)
Ooh I would really like to get in on that San Diego clothing swap! I have piles and piles of clothes waiting to be taken to the thrift store or put on smashion. A clothing swap would be much more fun!!

Love the skirt paired with those boots. Great job transitioning a skirt for winter/fall :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been to a Swap Party but they sound like so much fun. I sure have a lot of items I could swap and get "new" ones for myself. Maybe I should throw my own Swap Party, one day.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought Light Pink or Dusty Pink looks great paired with Olive Green. You proved me right. BTW, you look adorable and like 19 years old in A-line Skirts.
