A Little More Love

Lace Top: Forever 21 ($17?)  |  Tweed Blazer: thrifted ($5) |  Red Skinnies: Buffalo Exchange ($8)  |  Flats: Target (?)  |  Belt: Forever 21 ($2.50)  |  Rings: c/o Ellaine Calas of Stella & Dot (shop)

Not much to report here.  I had a laid back day.  I ran errands, made some gifts for a gift exchange at work tomorrow: these and these, and watched the holiday episode of The Sing Off.  (Did I ever tell you I was the musical director of an a cappella group all 4 years in college?)

Aside from that, I thrifted this tweed blazer a couple of years ago and only knew how to wear it one way.  At one point it sat in my closet for months without being worn because I forgot I had it.  I think it's a testament to how my style has grown over the last 5 months that I can now imagine this piece with lots of different items in my closet.  So, with some concentrated effort I hope to give this little guy some love this fall.  He deserves it.

Just curious...what are some pieces in your closet that deserve a little more love this fall?

  1. Love the belt over the blazer. I also have pieces that I've had forever and only worn one way, but I'm finally starting to push myself out of those fashion ruts!

  8. Audrey. Are you on The Pinterest*? If so let's be friends please. Also, I really love the brown/white/red of this outfit & I'm probably going to need to try it myself. I tend to shy away from my pullover sweaters in the fall but I should really break them out more often!

  11. Such a cute blazer! I'm trying to weed out the pieces that don't deserve to be in my closet anymore...there seems to be many. So many that I don't wear for a variety of reasons. I think I'm going to get to that very soon, but it's going to be a sad process to let go of useful clothes!

  12. How lucky you are to thrift a blazer that doesn't go down to your knees or have shoulders shaped like a football player.  I can never find any blazers as cute as this one!

  16. Great Tweed Blazer, it is so sharp and makes you look more grown-up. It is perfection paired with your red jeans and bronze flats. Love the cocktail ring. =)
