You would think after the One Piece Different Ways posts involving plaid shirts and this grey pencil skirt that I'd retire those items. But, no. I'm a creature of habit, and I will work these pieces to the bitter end.
Along those lines--and this has nothing to do with my outfit--I need your input on something. I've come to that crucial junction in life at which I'm forced to ask myself a very important question: Do I trim my hair and keep my current cut, or do I endure the awkward growing out phase and go back to long hair? Being a creature of habit, change doesn't come easily for me, and it takes me a long time to decide on something, but I've been thinking of growing out my hair for a while now so that I can do more with it. Though I had hair to my waist 5 years ago, I left it completely unstyled--not even bangs. I can't imagine what my hair would look like long and with a proper style, so I don't know if I'd like it, especially after having this awesome cut. What do you think?

I'm the same way...actually dealing with the same problem. I think the cut looks great. It frames your face really well. But, it is winter and you could always let it grow a bit then trim it back come summer time.
ReplyDeleteAs someone with long hair, I have to say, grow it out a little! If you explain to your stylist that you're growing it out, he/she can keep it trimmed without cutting off too much and keep the sleek shape. And if you don't like it, you can cut it shorter (but I hope you like it).
ReplyDeleteLove the Target boots! I love your current cut, but also love long hair. My one long hair complaint is that it sometimes lends to being lazy with styling. I speak from personal experience. My hair ends up in a wet pile on top of my head one to many times a week just because I can :)
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you- I'm trying to decide on a cut or long hair? Picking a "grown-up hairstyle" is kinda hard. The cut you have is so sleek! Whatever you choose, I'm sure it will be great!
ReplyDeleteIt's like our brains are bffs. I've been trying to figure out if I should keep my hair the way it is or change it. I don't come by change very naturally or easily either...I love long hair best, but short is adorable too! So many hard decisions. :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your hair, but long hair would be pretty too!
ReplyDeletei have always really liked your haircut, but i bet you would look great with longer hair too! hopefully you can decide what to do! and my other comment is: how great are navy & maroon together? love it.
ReplyDeleteI love your hair like this. I really need to get a trim myself. I used to go with the shorter-do, but I've been rocking the longer length recently. I want to say that 80% of my life, I've had the long hair. When I cut it short I loved the look but I found myself missing the longer length. I really love this pulled together look, btw! The colored tights are a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteLet's grow our hair out together! I'm trying to grow at least 2 more inches...
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love it when bloggers re-wear items in their closets and style them in different ways. If we didn't do that, we'd all go broke! Very cute outfit.
ReplyDeleteLove the plaid & those booties...so cute! And I'm a huge fan of medium/short hair...it looks great on you :)

love the outfit, especially the tights and booties! I haven't had the gumption to get a pair of booties, but they are growing on me...you make them look very cute and doable (even for a mommy of 4 little ones)! Anyhoo, I adore your hair and think it looks fantastic...but change is FUN! You can always cut it if growing it out isn't working so, I say, give it a go! Like another commenter said, if you tell your stylist you want to grow it, she/he can help trim it in a way that encourages an easy out growth...at least you know you look fab with shorter hair if you decide to go back :) Can't wait to hear your decision!
ReplyDeletelove the top with the fun tights!!
ReplyDeleteI hated booties when I first saw them, but I've recently come around. The right pair for you is somewhere out there, and seriously, the right pair can go with ANYTHING, which makes them very worth it.
ReplyDeleteAnd, regarding my hair, I keep hearing your words in my head: I can always cut it if growing it out isn't working out. I need to keep telling myself that!
Hi Miriam! Thank you for following! I'll swing by your blog, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the tights with this outfit, as for the hair... I go through this same delimma constantly! I personally love your hair. For me, when I let it grow I always end up cutting it shorter again, I always feel like very long or past the shoulder hair lacks style, unless you are someone who will put in the effort to straighten or curl it into a style.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great casual chic outfit! I love your present hair cut, but I am sure that you would look cute with long hair as well!
ReplyDeleteI really like this outfit. It has elements of grace, casualness, elegance and color. Those booties and that top are too cute.
