Boots: Dolce Vita via Macy's | Bangles: Forever 21 | Bag: Target
I know I just said in my last post that I was trying to avoid wearing jeans so frequently, but change is slow, people. :) And somedays you don't want to spend too much time thinking about getting dressed, so you put on jeans. Plus I saw this pin (middle of bottom row) and thought to myself, "That's too simple not to do."
In an attempt to not wear jeans so often I'm in the market for a couple more versatile dresses. I have a ton of dresses, but since I look at my clothes differently these days, only a couple of them feel right. I wish I could wear this dress, since I had like 10 ideas for it, but in the end I actually returned it because of the shrinking problem. Time to scour places Ruche and eShakti for dresses!
Besides thrift stores, Target, and Old Navy, where have you found some of your most-worn dresses?

I love simple outfits. Cute scarf!! I've found two of my most worn dresses at Gap :)
ReplyDeleteVery Cute, I wore something very similar today (not posted)! Great minds....
ReplyDeleteOne of my most worn dresses is from Ann Taylor and another is from Boden. Also one is from Anthro, but it's hard to find a versatile dress from there since they specialize in The Pretty. They were all (relatively) expensive items but you get what you pay for, I guess! I really really really want this dress from eShakti but I've never bought anything from there and it's not part of my shopping diet picks...though maybe I'll cheat and trade one out.
ReplyDeleteAlso I know I did that crazy scarf tutorial a couple weeks ago but I have always, always wanted to be able to wear my scarf like you have it! I can never get that look right. I'm jelly.
I love the simplicity, yet chicness (I don't know if that's a word but it is now lol) of this outfit. Your scarf is lovely! - Dreama

Hahahaha omg! I was totally looking at that dress as my top pick to get. Why am I even surprised? Also, I just made up the scarf thing. I tried to type it out but it got confusing so maybe I can take some pics for you or something. It's nothing special, actually. Basically it involves folding it in half then making one side longer, pulling the long end trough the loops and wrapping it around your neck as many times as it will go, then tucking in the ends wherever they'll stay. Confusing? Lemme know and I'll do pics haha.
ReplyDeleteMy most worn dresses are from Anthro but those prices are usually so insane, even after they hit the sale rack. But I must say the fit and the materials used cannot be beat. However, I'm no stranger to Target and Old Navy dresses. I recently bought a bunch of dresses from Target online to try on because they were having that buy one get one half off deal.
ReplyDeleteGreat boots! I often get great deals on cute dresses at Ann Taylor Loft. You can order online and return in store, which is awesome for trying out a few sizes at home. I've never bought anything, but am always looking at the cute dresses on modcloth.com too.
ReplyDeleteBahahahaha style twinz 4 lyfe, yo. I think I know what you mean but the art of the fluff is usually what gets me. The scarf always looks flat or something. But I'll have to try it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! I know what you mean...this whole week I've been in jeans and boots. My most worn dress is from Forever 21.
ReplyDeletei love this audrey, don't get down on yourself for wearing what works!! i think the scarf totally pulls it all together! :)
ReplyDeleteseriously, forever 21!! love that place!!! i also love shopruche!!!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I am so guilty of wearing dresses all the time.. and skirts too. I actually find them more comfortable than jeans! I'm weird like that. :) -Rachel (DSI) oh, and obvs most of my dresses are thrifted.. haha!
ReplyDeleteI think dresses are more comfy too. But like I said, I don't have many I want to wear these days thanks to having a style blog! Haha
ReplyDeleteI go through phases with jeans, then with skirts... totally normal! Your outfit is so cute, don't worry about it!
ReplyDeleteCute! I'm trying to move away from jeans all the time too but it's soooo hard.
ReplyDeleteI adore this look! It is my "fall uniform" most days. For dresses, I like Kohls and JCPenney for affordable, but trendy dresses. Heather
ReplyDeleteI have found a surprising number of dresses that are great at Ross. You have to look several times to strike gold, but I'm still amazed. Anyway, no need to apologize for wearing jeans. At the moment, it's your style and we're okay with that, haha. I don't know what my trend is right now... time to check!
ReplyDeleteYou said besides, thrifting and target? I have a dress I LOVE from Kohls. Just a knit one that works great with leggings or skinnies as well as tights! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that scarf so much!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, you look awesome! I agree with you on the jeans thing... when I am in a hurry or cant come up with an outfit - I always always go to jeans :)
