Gone Hatty

Top: Old Navy  |  Jeggings: NY&Co.  |  Boots: Dolce Vita via Macy's  |  Beanie: Topher & Co. on Etsy (gifted)

This is one of the outfits from my 10 Ways to Wear a Plaid Shirt post.  I'd like to introduce you to this beret because it was made by my beloved friend Chris.  I'd seen it on his very successful Etsy shop and had mentioned wanting to try it, so he surprised me with it on my birthday last year!

I'm not much of a hat person, yet I'm a fan of this one for a few reasons: 1) It stays on my head well without squeezing so tightly that it gives me a headache.  2) It gives this outfit some character.  3) A couple of days ago it saved my hair from frizzing out from rain, and anything that protects my hairstyle is a friend of mine.

  2. I think it looks great.  I'm a HUGE hat fan and have a ton, but sadly I don't get to wear them often.

  4. I love everything about this outfit!! First of all I'm obsessed with gingham (although I have yet to get any of my own), second - yellow!? the best!, and third - the hat, it really does just make the whole thing pop!

Just wanted to make sure my blog pals got a stab at it! :)

  8. You look adorable in that hat. I don't wear hats often but I love them. Usually I just look goofy in them & if I do find one that looks cute, they hurt my head. You look lovely :)

  9. I've never been a hat person myself, but for the past 2 years I've slowly become obsessed! My first hat that I had was also a beret, but it was mustard yellow.
