Change Up

Dress: Target ($6.50) |  Belt: Forever 21 ($3.80)  |  Pumps: Target ($7.50) |  Necklace: Anthropologie (gift)

I'm in the middle of two back to back trips out of town, so I probably won't be posting much until next week, but I managed to snap some shots of this outfit.  One of my cousins got married this weekend (making it wedding #10 I've been to this year), and I planned to wear a little black dress, but my mom thought some of the older Chinese people would take offense to wearing black to a wedding.  I don't think they would have cared, but I didn't feel like arguing with my mom.

So!  I had this olive dress in my suitcase that I've worn casually here and here.  I was able to dress it up a little and wear it to the wedding just by changing accessories.  It worked out well for the wedding, and the best part is that the whole outfit cost less than $20!  Looks like this dress is turning out to be well worth the $6.50 it cost me!

  10. Oh Audrey, you look so awesome. That olive green is just amazing with your skin colour. I have changed my outfit more than once to appease my mother and the last time I didn't I got the "I didn't really like your outfit today" speech. Oh moms, always looking out for everyone else's style sensibilities!

  12. I LOVE ALL 3 WAYS YOU HAVE WORN THIS DRESS AND IT IS QUITE VERSATILE ACTUALLY. This wedding outfit would be too casual in general for an Albanian wedding but I do love it on you. I do love the belt and pumps though. Great delas for about 14$ the entire outfit - WOOOOWWWW!! My most favorite way you have worn this Olive Dress however is the first time on the "Passed Up" post. The belt from that post with those cute wedges is super cute. =)
