Weekend Accident

Top: H&M  |  Blazer: Target  (shop)  |  Jeans: Gap  |  Wedges: Old Navy (shop)  |  Cuff: Forever 21

I think it's time for a haircut.  When my haircut grows out and gets too long, the back kind of ducktails out and I have to straighten that section with a flat iron.  If any of you follow me on Twitter you might have noticed that I'm extremely clumsy--running into door frames (not once, but multiple times), and spilling things on myself.  Well, on Saturday I was doing my normal straightening of the ducktail part and instead of grabbing a chunk of my hair with the flat iron, I clamped the flat iron onto my ear and burned off some skin!!  OMG.  Anyway, my ear burned for a while, but now it's scarring and healing, and I think I'll be fine.  But, I definitely need a haircut ASAP so I can stop having to use the flat iron for a while.

  6. Ok, that sounds so painful! Gives me the chills! I hope your ear is feeling better and you were able to get you "ducktails" cut off. That phrase cracks me up!

I can't help but laugh about you walking into door frames (sorry!). My kids do things like that all the time and I'm always like, "what if an ADULT did that?" Well, I guess you do! :)

  8. You make straightening hair sound dangerous! I hope your poor ear heals quickly... if it makes you feel any better, I totally am the clumsiest person EVER.

  9. Haha, still haven't cut the "ducktails" off.  I'm fighting them today, in fact...but too scared to get the straightener near my ear again.  You can laugh about the door frames.  It's pretty ridiculous.  I ran into them when I was a kid too--ALL. THE. TIME--but it hurt a lot more back then because I was usually running.  Ouch!
