EBEW: Colored Pants

Top: Old Navy (shop)  |  Pants: Ann Taylor, thrifted  |  Grey Pumps: Target  |  Belt: Kohl's

This month's EBEW is colored pants.  Before I started style blogging I didn't own any colored pants, but you can bet now that I'm feenin' for some in green, red, and cobalt blue.  Still not sure if I'm going to get any of them, but I do debate with myself about it a lot.  Skinny green pants sound delicious (that's right, I called pants delicious), but there are other items fighting for what's left in my clothing budget for the year.  I doubt I'm gonna get any, but maybe you can convince me otherwise.  :D

  1. I am new colored-pants enthusiast! I purchase teal skinnies from forever 21 and they work great with so many neutral items in my closet and make them look brand new. I would love to have a raspberry or pink pair- but I promised not to shop for the rest of September- man oh man 17 days left.

  3. I just have to say I adore my green pants and I wish my cobalt blue ones were still alive. Red and yellow and leopard will have to tide me over, I suppose. I will say that I can hardly wear that length of pants, so congrats to you for being able to!

  6. Ack!  We're like twins!  (I'm wearing red pants with gingham today).  I love the rust and the bright blue, especially with that little half tuck.  So cute!  I discovered you through EBEW - stop by and say hi if you have a sec.

  9. I really like colored pants, but don't have any.  I'd love a color or rust ones for the fall.  I love the color or your capris as well. :)

  10. I think skinny green pants are delicious and totally worth a little splurge. Get them!! :) haha! Did I convince you? But really, this whole outfit is my fave. I've been in a pants kinda mood lately and need to add some color to my closet. I think I might spring for some next time I'm out.

  12. Great color combination, I almost picked up that shirt at Old Navy on Sunday, now I wish I did. The burnt red of those pants is a beautiful color and perfect for fall!

  13. I was slow to pick up on the colored jeans trend, but I have red, yellow, and green now.  And I've been amazed how much like them all.  This is perfect for fall.

  14. I really like this rusty-red-brown.  It's kinda fox colored.  It goes really well with the gingham.  I don't really wear pants but these would definitely be a pair I would consider.

  17. You look adorable! I'm dying to go thrifting to see if I can find any colored pants. I really want some colored skinnies. I could not, for the life of me, find any when I went looking (although, I only looked at Forever...wanted to stay cheap, so that was probably my downfall).

  19. JCPenny has a few that are on the cheap end - $20.  Check the links above in my post for the green, red and blue.  I'm guessing they're probably in the junior's dept or something in the actual store.

  22. Oh Audrey I was just thinking about my yellow gingham top and contemplating the sky blue one and wondering if you had it too. You totally read my mind. I adore this bright rust with the sky blue, it is such a perfect balance. You look fantastic.

  23. 17 days.  Ughhh, that sounds so long.  I'm "trying" not to shop for the rest of September, but it's not like a solid commitment in my mind.  Maybe that will lead to my failure, haha.  But maybe I can cheer you on and you can keep me accountable and that'll make me be more serious about it!

  24. The gingham top looks terrific with the muted hue of the pants. I'm digging colored pants too. Thanks for the style inspiration! And I, for one, think it's perfectly fine to think of pants as "yummy." :)

  26. Hahaha.  I got the yellow a while back and debated about the blue.  I was proud of myself because I resisted.  But recently I stumbled upon a humongo ON sale, and the blue gingham was so on sale that it was a no-brainer!
