Maxi dress as skirt: Gift card from Lulu's | Tank: Old Navy | Denim Jacket: Forever 21 | Necklace: Nordstrom | Wedges: Target
Remember when I won a gift card from Lulu's? I received my order yesterday, which included this maxi dress, and I'm so in love with it! (Is it bad that I couldn't wait to wash it before wearing it?) First of all, it feels like pajamas, and if you've been reading my blog for a bit you should know now that I love dresses (and any other clothes, really) that feel like pajamas: here, here, and here, just to name a few. I could seriously sleep in this dress.
Secondly, I'd been contemplating getting a maxi dress but I didn't know how much use I could get out of it. I could think of different ways to remix it, but I kept wondering, "Am I supposed to wear it when it's hot or when it's cold?" As it turns out, that's perfect for someone like me because I'm easily freezing cold one minute and burning up the next. Today I feel the cool ocean breeze, but tonight I travel inland and will be lugging around sound equipment and playing at an event--all of which makes for breaking out a sweat. This maxi dress fit the bill perfectly. Unfortunately, it's now sold out at Lulu's. :(

that is adorable!! I LOVE maxi dresses...although my closet is a little bare in that department right now.
ReplyDeleteLove the maxi with the denim jacket and gorgeous necklace!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress as a skirt!

So cute! I love all the blue hues, and I especially love the maxi dress doubling as a skirt - nice to have both options, especially as it can totally cover the hot to cold weather range. Though being really short, I haven't tried any maxi dresses yet - I just assume they'll drag on the floor...
ReplyDeletebeautiful! I love wearing denim and blue together! it's seriously my favorite and you look adorable :)

I love the fluid look of this dress! And the monochrome is perfect. BTW, tomorrow I'll be posting my seven random things. Hope you enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHee-hee. You do like pajama clothes, don't you? The skirt is a really pretty color and you look 6 feet tall! Looking forward to seeing what else you purchased from LuLu's.
ReplyDeleteI think you'll get more wear out of this dress than you'd ever imagined. It looks adorable on you and seems to suit your crazy-busy lifestyle.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a skirt until I kept reading. Bonus points for being a dress, you'll get so much wear out of it. Love the color too.
ReplyDeleteI've been loving your outfits lately but haven't been able to comment as for some reason it's not letting me type in the box (that's from my work computer only where I do most of my commenting ;) That's with all the blogs that use "Disqus" so it's my work computer...it needs some upgrading that's for sure :)
Have a fab weekend!
You look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks perfect on you. Absolutely perfect. I'm in <3

This is a different look for you but I really like it a lot. So I am guessing playing the guitar is your full-time job? You are a funky, cool & stylish musician then. =)
