Blast From the Past

Top: Old Navy  |  Skirt: Loft, thrifted  |  Wedges: Target

SO, on a very random note...this weekend has taken me way back to my high school days.  I've been reflecting on how you just never know where life will take you--or someone else you once knew for that matter.  You see, I was searching through videos of singers on YouTube and stumbled upon a voice that sounded familiar.  I looked at the name and sure enough, it was an acquaintance who I casually used to sing with once in a while just for fun, like 12-13 years ago!  And you know how I stumbled up on his group's videos?  Because he and his group are on tour as backup singers for JUSTIN BIEBER.  Isn't that wild?  Hahahahaha I think it's such a cool thing for him and I'm so happy for him that it just makes me laugh.  It's amazing how much can change in the different seasons of your life.  You never know where you could end up!

  2. very cute outfit! Wow, that is crazy awesome about your friend. It is so neat to randomly find out where your old friends are. I just recently did the same thing with a friend of mine from middle school...although she's not on tour with Justin Bieber. haha!

  4. I haven't stumbled on anything that shocking, but it is weird to look at the people I used to know and see what they have (or, I suppose, haven't) become. In other news, don't be offended if I tie a shirt like that--I have an outfit hanging in my closet that needs a tied shirt. (: I've never seen yellow gingham before, but you rock it out like nobody's business.

  6. Wow!  That's incredible.  I know I'm always floored by where life has taken people I knew from HS.  BTW, I love the gingham on you.  I have the same shirt but in the mint green, but I really wanted the mustard colorway.

  8. Oh, PS: One of my friends tours with all kinds of bands doing their lighting/visual. He's with Keith Urban right now, but he has toured with U2, Lady Antebellum, and even done some work for Beiber. Small world, right?

  12. Ohmigosh, lighting for U2 must be crazy!  For Bieber as well, for that matter.

  13. It's kind of awkward to see what people HAVEN'T become.  My 10 year HS reunion is this Nov and I don't know if I want to go--based on Facebook I can tell that many, many people have not changed much.  Sad times.

  14. You look so cute and I really love this story- I've lost touch with most of my High School peers, but it is awesome when you stumble upon some one from childhood and they're doing great things. This time of year always makes me nostalgic for my school dayz.

  15. That must have been a wild thing to stumble upon. I once saw a gap/old navy commercial and recognized one of the models, as a girl from my middle school. She always had a big personality and turns out she's modeling and acting. Life really does take us to all kinds of places! I like mustard and coral/orange together--whadda great combo!

  17. I love the top and the skirt together, Audrey. Perfect colour combo. And see that? Never say never. Also I may have gone to a Justin Bieber concert last year and I may have seen these dudes perform with him. MAY HAVE THAT'S ALL I'M SAYING

  18. That is crazy! You always wonder what some people are doing that you haven't seen in awhile. I'm back in my hometown for a week, so I've been reminiscing on highschool memories with my friends!
