Pink and Red and Floral All Over

Top: Kohl's  |  Skirt: Ann Taylor, thrifted  |  Wedges: Target (shop)  |  Belt: Forever 21

I wore this to church on Sunday, then out to lunch for Mexican food and boba / pearl milk tea / bubble tea...whatever it's called in your region.  Not the healthiest of eating days, but we made up for it the last two days with meals full of veggies and lean protein.  And loads of chocolate covered raisins.  Raisins...healthy, right?

This is my first time wearing this skirt that I thrifted back in June, almost 2 months ago!  It's time this skirt got some love.  I loved it even more after pairing it with this red and white floral print top.  It made for a bright statement in the hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint, but after sitting for 2 months in my closet, I think it deserved a debut with a bang.

  1. Love the red with neutral accessories!
Those bubble drinks are so intriguing to me, I discovered them on accident about a year ago and the little bubbly thingy shocked the heck outta me! haha, I nearly choked but found them quite delicious after some careful sipping. (:

I love this outfit! I'm also guilty of buying something and having it sit for a while before I figure out what to do with it. BTW: Visiting from WIWW. I really love the concept of your whole blog. I'm your newest follower :)

You look so gorgeous! Those colors are perfect on you! I have that belt from F21 and love it... but I got it in a size too big so I can't wear it high like I wear most of my belts. I've been scheming ways to shorten in somehow...

And boy, do I miss Kohl's! Love shopping there!

  5. so cute! I'm always drawn to those colors together. Raisins are totally healthy, especially when covered in chocolate...the chocolate makes them even healthier because umm...well it just does! :)

  6. I've been drinking bubble tea for the past three days now!  Something about the summer weather that makes me and my husband crave it.  Love the pink and red together!

  7. Yes, yes, bubble tea!! My weakness. I used to have one daily when I worked downtown within blocks of my favorite tea place. Good thing I'm no longer close by and get my fix only once a month.  Your bright outfit makes me smile. So pretty

  8. I like how you styled everything here-- your outfit looks like one complete dress! I've never had bubble tea. I've heard it's good, but there are not many places in town that serve it.

  10. Hi there! I am new to your blog and visiting you from WIWW.  I think coral is a beautiful color for your skintone - love the outfit.  There is something so satisfying about a thrifted item that really makes an outfit.  I love it when I can score a good find for a fraction of the full price. :)

Oh and PS: I love what you wrote in your "about me"...that you are trying to 'grow' your style.  Me too! :)

Looking forward to reading along and learning more about you!

    Aloha,
    Angie

  13. I crave it all year round.  I work from home, but I really choose to work at bubble tea places--one in particular--and all my friends make fun of me and if they're there and they don't see me they always text me to ask where I am.  Shameless addict here.

  15. Hi Leah!  :)  Yeah, I've watched many people take their first sip and not expect them to be slimy or shoot up the straw like that.  I've learned to warn first-timers now, but really there aren't many first-timers in the parts of California I'm from.
