Comfort Clothes

T-shirt: Target  |  Sweater: Gap Outlet  |  Jeans: Gap  |  Wedges: Target  |  Belt & Cuff: Forever 21

Ugh, I had kind of a difficult night yesterday during a student event for work.  The event last night and an upcoming one stressed me out so much that I woke up at 5am this morning until 7am with anxiety.

This morning I was still bummin' and it was hard to get dressed.  I just wanted to scrub out in a t-shirt and jeans, so I opted for my trouser jeans.  I'm coming to really love them.  I've had them for years and hardly wore them but a couple of pairs of casual wedges have made these my new skinny jeans, especially in the summer.  They give my legs room to breathe and still look neat and put together.

As for the t-shirt, I remembered this picture I'd pinned, and since today's weather was cooler I welcomed the warm fuzzy sweater to comfort myself after a hard night.

Luckily I had a meeting scheduled with my pastor from church this morning, and after meeting with him I felt like a cloud lifted off me.  So don't worry about me, I'm doing well now, and glad to say I'm not looking so scrubby even though I'm still in a t-shirt and jeans.  :)

  1. Glad you're feeling better!  You look casual but still "put together" (no pun intended).

  4. I love this spin on a classic t-shirt and jeans, you look so chic and pulled together. Your outfit looks just like the inspiration photo :)

  5. Glad to hear you're doing better!  :) I have a pair of trousers that look like yours, but I put them aside, thinking they made me look "older" (being that skinny jeans were all the rage), but now I'm thinking about pulling them out again!

  6. Haha, I want to look older these days!  I'm 28 and I work with college students and my Asian genes make me look younger than I am so I get mistaken for a college student all the time.  People say I'll be thankful my genes later and I know it's true, but for now I want people to stop thinking I'm 20.

  7. This is an outfit I could LIVE in.  I love pulled-together, classed-up versions of t-shirt and jeans outfits!  I also love hearing that your anxiety levels have decreased.  Nothing fun about stressing out in the early am..

  8. That is so something I would do (be up from 5am-7am stressing). I get insomnia when I'm really anxious and it sucks so bad! This is a really great look though - casual yet very put together. I have jeans similar to that and I love them! I love your belt here and also the one you pinned, so cute! -Rachel (adistinctstyle.blogspot.com)
